Santa Clarita Spiritual Medium Yesenia Berbiar explores homes and workplaces to root out paranormal causes of chronic building problems.
“It might just be your house settling or improper wiring that is causing you to believe your house or business is haunted,” Berbiar said. “Then again, maybe it’s not. Either way, wouldn’t you like to know?”
Berbiar first reported the ability to communicate with spirits from a young age, and as an adult hopes to use her abilities to comfort and heal her clients and the spirits they encounter.
One of the ways in which she hopes to help the Santa Clarita community is by investigating strange phenomena and determining whether or not they are caused by the spirits of the departed.

Along with her husband Michael, who is a professional investigator, the spiritual medium and her team “investigate claims of paranormal activity to help bring answers and peace to their clients.”
If Berbiar determines that ongoing building issues are caused by restless spirits, her team then works with the spirits to find a way to resolve the problem.
Berbiar’s team reports that they are “different (from) many other paranormal investigation groups” because they “also help the spirits that occupy a location to find peace themselves.”
Should the spirits prove uncooperative, Berbiar said her team can “(deal) with that as well.”
Berbiar also occasionally invites small groups to join her on paranormal investigations at locations believed to be haunted. Most recently, Berbiar and her team invited the KHTS Radio features team to investigate Mentryville, a California ghost town which has stood empty for nearly one hundred years.
